PATCO E-News is yet another way for PATCO to stay in touch with you and to provide the very best in customer service. Through this monthly communication, we will keep you informed about train service, system improvements, events and happenings in the region and share relevant transit information from a regional and national perspective. Have a Happy Holiday Season Take PATCO for a fun-filled day in the city

Gallery at Market East- Exit PATCO NORTH-thru gates, turn right (at donut shop), look for glass doors to enter Gallery Or Exit PATCO SOUTH- thru gates, turn left and go up and down stairs over SEPTA's tracks; then turn left and look for glass doors to enter Gallery -Visit Santa in Center Court Nov. 23 - Dec. 24 - There are plenty of stores for Shopping and also the Food Court for eating.
 
Reading Terminal Market - Holiday Railroad Display - (FREE) Nov. 25 - Dec. 31 ~ Exit PATCO at 8th/Market and walk 3 blocks west toward City Hall and turn to your right -  Enter from 1100 block of Market or Filbert Streets - Visit a model railway wrapping thru the bustling Reading Terminal. The Holiday Railroad features 12 working train lines running thru tiny holiday scenes. While there, be sure to partake in the delicious treats available around the terminal.

Macy's Light Show (FREE) 13th/Market Streets  ~ Exit PATCO at 8th/Market and walk 5 blocks west toward City Hall - 8th/Market Street Station has an elevator and escalator for your convenience. Light show runs hourly starting at 10am from November 23 through December 31 (weekdays and weekends) on the ground floor of Macy's (formerly Wanamaker's). And visit:  
 "A Christmas Carol" - Life size Dickens display at Macy's (FREE) - open continuously from November 23 - December 31, 2012 from 10am-7pm on the 3rd Floor. This Charles Dickens' classic comes to life with more than 100 fully animated figures reenacting 26 of the story's most memorable moments.
 
Christmas Village in Philadelphia (FREE) ~ Exit PATCO at 8th/Market and walk towards City Hall -Nov. 22 - Dec. 24, Daily 11 a.m. - 8 p.m., Sundays - 7 p.m. Located at LOVE park, on west side of City Hall. The outdoor Holiday market offers 60 vendors in wooden booths selling food, sweets, drinks and holiday gifts.

See the City's Official Tree Lighting Ceremony,
on Dec. 5 on the west side of City Hall. There will be special guests, holiday songs, and festivities. For more information: www.philachristmas.com.

African American Museum
Exit PATCO at 8th/Market Street Station and walk 2 blocks north to 701 Arch Street.  Come enjoy Kwanzaa Celebration activities on Dec. 29, 11am - 4pm & Dec. 30, 12pm- 4pm. (Admission) - call 215-574-0380 for details.

Independence Hall ~ Exit PATCO at 8th/Market Street Station - With City Hall at your back, walk east 2 blocks- Hours:  9:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. For entrance into Independence Hall, where the Declaration of Independence and U.S. Constitution were signed, you must have a tour ticket with a specific day and time. Free Tickets are available on the morning of your visit at the Independence Visitor Center at 6th and Market Street starting at 8:30 am ~ for more information call 215-965-2305

National Constitution Center ~ Exit PATCO at 8th/Market ~ With City Hall at your back, walk east 2 blocks and turn left for one block. Dec. 26- 31 visitors to the National Constitution Center can send special greetings to the men and women serving in the U.S. military overseas and children and their families also can create arts and crafts, play games, and sing holiday favorites during seasonal karaoke. Regular business hours: Monday - Friday: 9:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m., Saturday: 9:30 a.m. - 6:00 p.m., and Sunday: 12:00 - 5:00 p.m. (Admission) - for more information, 215-409-6600 or www.constitutioncenter.org.

Walnut Street Theater ~ 825 Walnut Street
Exit PATCO at 9th/Locust and walk north 1 block.
*Another option is to exit PATCO at 8th/Market using the elevator/escalator toward the front of the train.  Walk 3 blocks south along 8th Street.  When walking south, the address numbers increase with each block

Liberty Place ~ Shopping, shopping, shopping at 1625 Chestnut Street - Exit PATCO at 16th/Locust and walk north 3 blocks to Chestnut Street.

Kimmel Center / Academy of Music ~ Exit PATCO at 15th/Locust Streets and walk east 1 block to the Avenue of the Arts - Pennsylvania Ballet- "The Nutcracker"- Dec. 8 - Dec. 30-it promises to be a merry and bright theatrical experience for the whole family! Comcast Building Holiday Spectacular ~ Nov. 22 - Jan. 1 Exit PATCO at 16th/Locust and walk north 5 blocks- 1700 JFK Boulevard - Shown daily 10:00 a.m. - 8:00 p.m.,(except 5pm weekdays),15-minute shows at the top of each hour. See an innovative video display on one of the largest HDTV's in the world- Worth the visit!
