Death of Bishop Browning

TO: The Diocese of Hawai'i
I have been informed of the death of the Most Reverend Edmond L. Browning, 24th Presiding Bishop of the Episcopal Church and 2nd Bishop of the Diocese of Hawaiʻi. Please remember Bishop Browning in your prayers.
Lord Jesus Christ, we commend to you our brother Edmond, who was reborn by water and the Spirit in Holy Baptism. Grant that his death may recall to us your victory over death, and be an occasion for us to renew our trust in your Father's love. Give us, we pray, the faith to follow where you have led the way; and where you live and reign with the Father and the Holy Spirit, to the ages of ages. Amen.
May his soul, and the souls of all the departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace. Amen.

Almighty God, Father of mercies and giver of comfort: Deal graciously, we pray, with all who mourn; that, casting all their care on you, they may know the consolation of your love; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
