Proper 18
Grant us, O Lord, to trust in you with all our hearts; for, as
you always resist the proud who confide in their own strength, so you never forsake those who make their boast of your mercy; through Jesus Christ our Lord, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, now and for ever. Amen.

The Rev. Susan Sowers
The Cathedral of St. Andrew will be saying aloha to Associate Dean, the Rev. Susan Sowers, later this month. Rev. Sowers will be returning to Pensacola, FL, to be the Rector of St. Christopher's Episcopal Church, the church she served at for three years as the Associate Priest prior to coming to The Cathedral in 2013.

Susan has been an incredible asset to the Cathedral in so many areas --such as, in pastoral care, Christian formation & spirituality, and outreach," said Dean Walter Brownridge, "I am grateful for her wise counsel and partnership in ordained ministry."

The Revs. David Oh and Anna Joo
The husband and wife team, the Revs. David Oh and Anna Joo, will be returning to South Korea after having served in the islands for the past three years. Donations Needed for Bell Repair at The Cathedral
Back in June, an accident to the housing of one of the bells at The Cathedral of St. Andrew, put bell ringing on hold. The #3 bell, one of 8 bells, has since been lowered so that they can now use 6 of the bells.  This is great news to the members of StARS (St. Andrew's Ringing Society), who have been able to resume practices.

The cost to repair the bell will run close to $10,000.  If you would like to donate to this fund, checks can be sent and made payable to The Cathedral of St. Andrew with "Bell Repair" in the memo line, 229 Queen Emma Square, Honolulu, HI 96813. For more information on the history of the bells, click HERE.
