CONVENTION
DEADLINE REMINDER:
Wednesday, September 10, 2014 is the deadline for getting in some important forms and reports for the upcoming Meeting of Convention being held on October 24 & 25. All churches in the Diocese should be sure to submit the following, that can now be done online through the hi-lighted links:
* If you are paying for your own registration and not through a church, please use the Individual Registration Form.
The Early Bird pricing of $65.00 per person fee will also end and go up to $80 per person after the deadline date.
 The meeting will include guest speaker, the Reverend Kevin Martin, who is the Congregational Development Officer for the Episcopal Diocese of Oklahoma. Rev. Martin is considered one of the foremost experts on congregational development and has authored two books. Additional details will be posted on the convention webpage HERE, as it becomes available.
Travel Arrangements
Churches should have already received the Shared Travel Assessment billing in July, or you can view it HERE. For travel arrangements for approved travelers from the Neighbor Islands, e-mail Sharon Billingsley.

NEW OFFICE HOURS
The Office of the Bishop's office hours have changed.
Effective September 14, 2014, the new hours will be:
Tuesday through Friday
8:30 AM - 4:30 PM.

MONTHLY YOUTH GATHERINGS ON O'AHU ARE STARTING UP AGAIN
The monthly gatherings for youth on O'ahu are starting up again beginning on Sunday, September 14. The theme is Back to School Bingo & Bacon Bash, and will be taking place at Christ's Gathering Place (St. Timothy's/St. Nicholas) in Aiea, from 5:00 PM - 8:00 PM.
Then in October, the gatherings will take place on its usual day, the first Sunday of the month. All youth are invited to attend the O'ahu gatherings, including visiting youth from the Neighbor Islands. These events are put together in conjunction with the Lutheran Churches of Hawai'i.
