The 2012 / 2013 ski season came to an exciting conclusion this past weekend with the Annual Cardboard Classic and Pond Skim, and free concert in the village featuring Left Over Salmon. If you missed the first two events, click here

Showcased by the 50th Anniversary of the Steamboat Ski Area and the 100th Anniversary of the Steamboat Springs Winter Carnival, this was undoubtedly one of the most exciting winters in the history of Steamboat Springs
. The only thing that was 'average' this year was snowfall, with 338" total for the season (and we've received over three feet of snow since the ski area closed).
The only sad thing to report for the season is the closing of Four Points Hut. It will be replaced with the two story, 13,000 square foot, $5m Four Points Lodge, which will mainly be comprised of a larger restaurant. As a tribute, we had a farewell beer the last day it was open.
