Come Celebrate the
15th Anniversary of the
Orange County Women's Chorus!

We're celebrating our 15th anniversary with new commissions, great organ works, gifted guest artists - and of course, food and fun! Don't miss a single performance - order your season subscriptions at substantial discounts! You can also visit our website today to purchase tickets to any or all performances.

The Singing Place

"Cold may lie the day, and bare of grace; at night I slip away to the Singing Place ... " So begins Lily Long's poem, set to music by Joan Szymko, about the unique joy of raising our voices together. Our December concert celebrates everything we love about singing, featuring - among other treats - Louise Talma's raucous and little known cantata "Celebration," Elizabeth Alexander's brand-new arrangement about the value of singing while doing the laundry, and the world premiere of a commissioned work by the "dean of American choral composers," Kirke Mechem. Come for the beauty and stay for the fun!

Mighty Pipes

Let's get organ-ized! The amazing William Wells and some of our favorite tenors and basses will join us for this program of music starring "the king of instruments." Hear works by Johannes Brahms, Francis Poulenc, and Benjamin Britten alongside lesser-known historical gems and modern masterworks. There's nothing like the sound - and feel - of a pipe organ. This concert is guaranteed to send shivers up your spine.

What a Bunch of Characters!

Hollywood may have trouble creating strong female characters, but we've found plenty of them in the annals of opera, Broadway, and beyond! If you enjoyed last year's "Divas, Drinks and Desserts," you won't want to miss this season's feast of good food, good wine, and great music, featuring some of the most memorable women - fictional and real-life! - ever to take the stage. (Watch your mail and our website to learn how you can honor the memorable women in your life at this concert!)
