Dear Community Storehouse,
I wanted to tell you thank you and let you know how appreciative my husband and I are for your services. Before the economic downturn, we would often donate to the Community Storehouse. Like many others, however, our situation changed, and the past two years, in particular, have been quite difficult for us financially. Consequently, without your services, particularly the food pantry program, our children would have suffered.
We were part of "the working poor." Although we had been seeking full-time positions for the past several years, we were unable to find ones. Fortunately, we were both able to work two part-time jobs, but mine was in education, so my employment opportunities were limited during the summers. My family of five would have literally gone without food were it not for the summer food pantry program. I am happy to tell you that my family no longer needs your assistance this summer. I am now a full-time Associate Professor at Tarrant County College, and my husband is a full-time Security Specialist for Keller ISD.
Let me reiterate our deep gratitude for your services. We look forward to being able to donate once again to the Community Storehouse so that others may continue to benefit from your services as we did during our time of need.
Have you heard about what Community Storehouse is doing for local kids? With the support of our donors and volunteers, we are helping children who live right here in our community with their educational and basic needs.
And as we dip into the summer months, funds decrease but the needs of local children increase. In fact, our summer months are our busiest! Now that children are out of school, we are providing additional nutrition services, as well as our summer educational programs. We are serving 1,500 local kids this summer!
Please consider becoming a part of the Community Storehouse Family by joining our $15 in '15 Campaign. By donating $15 each month for the rest of the year, your business will help us to ensure that we can continue providing for our local kids. Last year, we served 4,500 children, but we want to grow that number and your help could make that happen. Sign up now and be sure to select $15 in '15 and schedule your donation to reoccur on a monthly basis. Thank you so much for considering this request. We truly appreciate your support.
If you have questions, or would like to know more about our programs, please don't hesitate to call our office at 817-431-3340 or visit our website.
