Review of Ohio River Pollution Control Standards
The Ohio River Valley Water Sanitation Commission (ORSANCO) is initiating a review of its Pollution Control Standards for Discharges to the Ohio River. The standards include regulations to maintain and protect Ohio River water quality.
The review will begin with an initial public comment period. Interested parties are encouraged to submit comments, technical scientific studies, and data supporting those comments on all aspects of the Standards. Comments will be accepted from now through May 9, 2014. The Commission will consider comments received at its June 2014 meeting, after which proposals for specific revisions will be developed.
Please visit the Commission's web site at www.orsanco.org or call us at 513-231-7719 for more information on initial issues for possible revision, instructions for submitting comments, and instructions for participating in informational webinars. Webinars for the purpose of providing general information, discussion of items already identified for possible revision, and to answer questions from the public, will be held on April 8, 2014 at 4:00PM (eastern) and April 24, 2014 at 6:00PM (eastern).
