Ersal Ozdemir:
A Man of Many Passions
We all know Ersal Ozdemir as the dynamic leader of Keystone Realty Group and zealous owner of Indy 11, Indianapolis' first professional soccer team. But this guy has a lot more going on, enough to give the energizer bunny a run for his money.
Ersal is originally from Turkey and came to Indiana to attend Purdue University, where he obtained his degree in Civil Engineering. He was so impressed with Lafayette and Indiana as a whole that he just couldn't get the lyrics of "Back Home Again in Indiana" out of his head, so he decided to make it his permanent home. He was also so dazzled with the Engineering program that he has made it a personal mission to see Purdue's program elevated to the midwest equivalent of MIT. And why not? People said Indianapolis wouldn't want to watch soccer and we all know how that turned out!

Art is also a great love of Ersal's. He is on the IMA board, which by the way, is just one of the 8 boards he sits on, (channeling that energizer bunny again) It is also this affinity for art that have had the Ozdemirs wayfaring to Spain and Italy, two of their favorite places. The history and stories behind the art are also of significance to him. The photo below shows a recently acquired piece. The artist is a former Radio DJ that got so angry when he was on bed rest for an injury that he threw all his records against a wall. When the tantrum was over he literally picked up the pieces, got a creative spark and created art. He put one of these cracked pieces of art together for Indy 11. Yes folks, it's all broken record shards.

As much pride and gushing that Ersal has for Purdue and Art, mention his family and you'll see his eyes really light up. When asked what the Ozdemir Brood enjoys doing together he says "anything his little girl wants to do". One of her favorite places is the Indianapolis Children's Museum, so they frequent that quite often. She also enjoys singing and dancing where, according to Ersal "she got the talent from my wife" but I have a feeling Ersal is right there singing along with Radio Disney and his little star at the top of his lungs when no one is watching. He readily admits "It's hard to say no to her". We know what that means: Tea Party Anyone?

A person's office is always interesting to look around and see what unique pieces can give you an insight into that person's life. There are always the family photos, framed degrees, photos with celebrities and dignitaries, should you be that lucky, but something stood out to me when, in Ersal's office, I think I found the key to success...
What? Where you expecting a basketball?? I believe Ersal kicks this around while making big deals, channeling David Beckham's focus to get the job done.
To see what other keys to his success Ersal might share, along with his thoughts and ideas on Downtown Indianapolis, plan on attending the Real Estate People's The Future of Downtown and around Town. Click here to register. CLICK HERE TO REGISTER

Allen Galloway, Vice President Strategic Planning & Business Development for Boyle Construction Management Inc., has been driving British sports cars since high school, as he puts it
"a long history".
Allen had both his 1970 & 1978 Triumph Spitfire in 2013 St. Patrick's Day Parade. The 1970 Triumph Spitfire had the spotlight in this year's parade because he couldn't find anyone to drive it. If I had to guess, the reason he couldn't find a driver was probably the hat, not the car!
The 1970 Spitfire won best in Class last year for British Car Union Show in Zionsville this past August. They are a pair of beauties! Thank you for sharing Allen!
