Canon Jim Nolan
Jim Nolan, Trinity Cathedral's Clerk-of-the-Works, was installed by Bishop  Frade as Canon Jim Nolan at the Choral Evensong celebration held on Sunday, May 12, 2013. Serving as Clerk since 2008, Canon Jim remains on of Dean McCaleb's primary financial and operational advisors, overseeing much of the day-to-day management of the Cathedral. Congratulations Canon Nolan!

Doing our part
The Diocese of Southeast Florida has been participating in the Shred-it shredding and recycling program. Over the past year, we have saved 3.90 trees from destruction by recycling. According to the industry estimates every ton of recycled paper saves 18 new trees from being harvested for paper production. Way to go!

 WE WILL! Campaign Donation St. Mark's Church and School is close to embarking on the most transformative phase of its building project thanks to the generous donation of $1.5 million from John and Jeanette Staluppi to the WE WILL! Build in Faith Capital Campaign. The new building will be named in their honor, the Staluppi Center at St. Mark's and will serve the church and school family as well as the community.

UBE donates to Haiti
The Theodore Gibson Chapter of The Union of Black Episcopalians made a sizable donation to Haiti recently. The donation will provide over 1600 books to school children who's supplies were destroyed by the earthquake.

Pentecost Celebration
The office of Immigration and Social Justice is working to end gun violence in all communities. Join Bishop Leo Frade at Holy Family for a Pentecost Eucharist with testimonies, laying of hands, and anointing. The event will occur on Wednesday, May 22, 2013, 2013 at 7 p.m. This is co-sponsored by: the Union of Black Episcopalians, The Hispanic Coalition, The Haitian Commission, and The Anti-Racism Commission.

Guided Labyrinth Walks
The labyrinth is an ancient tool for spiritual self-discovery. It invites us to travel inward and then outward, to open ourselves to new possibilities. Walking the winding path of the labyrinth can serve as a metaphor for one's spiritual journey. It can also become a mirror for where we are in our lives.
The walk will be guided by Linda Hurley, a Veriditas trained certified labyrinth facilitator. Stop by the Duncan Conference Center on Monday, May 20, 2013, at 6:30 p.m. The walk is free, however there is a $5 donation suggested.

Fellowship Day at Marlins Park

Sacred Rite Retreat
Join in a spiritual retreat and a time of contemplative formation for 18 to 30 year old young adults. The theme of this retreat is "Heal and Let Go: Finding Our Sacred Space of Healing + Grace."
