Produce
Now is a fantastic time to stock up on produce! Kale, Swiss chard, sweet potatoes, beets, Napa cabbage, turnips, carrots, salad mix, arugula, collards, cauliflower, broccoli, winter squash, fresh herbs, etc are all in season! Apples, persimmons, and raspberries will also be available.

Meat
Whatever protein you wish to feature this Thanksgiving can be found at the Williamsburg Farmers Market. Pick up grass-fed beef from Pampatike; chicken and pork from Shiloh Acres; turkeys, turkey breast and legs, Muscovy ducks, a variety of sausages, leaf lard, and leg of lamb from Georgiatown Farm; turkey from Evergreen Springs Farm; a variety of cuts of lamb from Brentwood Farm; and goat meat from Goats R Us.

Prepared Food
If you haven't ordered your Thanksgiving pies yet, the deadline is rapidly approaching! For pie pickup at the market, you need to have your orders in by November 21, 2013.
Betsy's Baked Goods, Dessert Classics, The Greek Bake Shop, Lucille's Bakery, Normandies Catering, Rockahock Farm and Virginia Chefs Apprentices have really gone all out on their seasonal goods. |
Eggs, Dairy, Honey and Peanuts
Peanuts make a great snack for while the turkey, ham and side dishes are cooking! Both Belmont Peanuts and Bacon's Castle Peanuts are available to sample and purchase on Saturday.
Another traditional appetizer is cheese and crackers. Lucille's Bakery will have several varieties of crackers and you can purchase goats' cheese from Goats R Us, sheep's cheese from Everona Dairy and cows' milk cheese, yogurt, Kefir, milk and chocolate milk from Old Church Creamery.
Transform cheese by drizzling a little local honey from Bees 'n Blossoms.
Georgiatown Farm, KelRae Farm, Pampatike HIll Farm, and Shiloh Acres will have farm fresh eggs.
