A New Decade - A New Logo
Join us at the Market Tent this Saturday at 9:00 a.m. when the market's new logo is officially presented by Howell Creative Group to the Williamsburg Farmers Market.
In 2012 as part of the tenth anniversary, work began on the redesign of the WFM logo to give it a fresh look. The result is a logo that reflects both the ambiance of a special location in Merchants Square and the a market that attracts customers to shop with a wide variety of quality growers, watermen, and bakers.
We wish to recognize Kathy Howell and her team for their contribution to the market's continued success in the next decade.

Reception Held at Traditions at the
Williamsburg Lodge
Chef Rhys Lewis and his staff recently
welcomed WFM Volunteers, Sponsors and Friends to a tasting from their menu. The items were made from local, fresh products such as cheese made by WFM farmers and herbs from the Colonial Williamsburg gardens.

Eating So Fresh That It Includes Edible Soil
While we are all eager to include food on our tables that has the taste of just picked, some chefs are adding "soil" to their dishes. Chef Rene Redzepi, of Noma, Copenhagen's trendy restaurant, created a recipe called "vegetable field." Although the extremely complicated recipe is found in the cookbook Norma, an article about the book in Cooking Light magazine warns "Don't try this at home..." |
Volunteer Opportunity
Be part of a community event. Help is needed to take down and store the market's tents and tables and to assist vendors as needed. Ideal for a couple of high school students who might want Key Club hours and a small stipend in the summer.
The help of a parent or adults would be a plus.
Hours are 11:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. on Saturdays, in
Merchants Square.

Merchants Square offers a lovely spring setting in which to shop with family and friends.
Everyone has to have at least one bunch of daffodils!
