GET YOUR BLOOD DRAWN RIGHT IN OUR OFFICE!
Quest Labs has set up shop in our office, and we can now provide in office phlebotomy. Our phlebotomist, the lovely Robin Ford is a wonderful addition to our clinic. She is very gentle, kind and most importantly, very, very good at what she does. She is going back to school to be a surgery tech, but not any time soon. I will be sending out Quest requisitions in the mail for those of you who are getting your blood drawn frequently for hormone treatments. You can call Robin at 425-369-6161 to schedule an appointment, or you can walk in. And, if you prefer to go across the hall to Paclab, you can also take your requisition there. This just gives everyone more options. |

WE NOW OFFER SATURDAY HOURS!
Dr. Rhea Abbott is now joining us to offer hours from 9-5 on Saturday! Dr. Abbott graduated from Bastyr University's illustrious naturopathic medicine program. Her love is of family practice, but she has a special place in her heart for children and women's medicine. Dr. Abbott also has additional training in herbal medicine, homeopathy and minor surgery. Moles? Tags? Boo-boo's that need to be sewn up? Dr. Abbott can do that for you. She is a very intuitive and capable healer, and we are so excited she is here with us.
To schedule an appointment with Dr. Abbott on Saturday, you must call the clinic as Saturday scheduling is not yet available through the website. Please call our front desk at 425-31-5270, and Tricia, our receptionist, will take care of that for you.

IV NUTRIENTS!
IV therapy is up and running in all it's glory. Come on in for a multivitamin IV or our wonderful anti-viral IV. It is such a fantastic way to get all the goodies in your blood without having to swallow pills! The IV room has comfy recliners, cozy blankets, snacks and juice and is very relaxing. IV's can be scheduled online for Tuesdays or Thursdays from 3-7.

MOLD TESTING
We are now offering a new diagnostic test to detect mold exposure and colonization in our patients. This amazing technology comes from Real Time Lab, which started as lab that focused testing on cadavers and forensics. When they discovered that so many of their subjects exhibited mold colonization, they wanted to find a way to offer this diagnostic test to the living population.
The mycotoxin test is a simple urine test, and the lab has a full time RN dedicated to preauthorization. So far all patients we have given it to have been totally covered, even by Medicare and Medicaid! But most importantly, it is providing the information needed to help us treat those patients who may be dealing with mold exposure.
One of the most well known mycotoxins is produced by black mold, which is what we are finding in large amounts in many of these samples. Because Washington is such a damp place and full of so many old (and charming) houses, black mold is common in the walls and may or may not be visible.
We have a very effective treatment plan for this. So come in and get tested.

TESTING KIDS FOR VITAMIN D AND B12
Just a quick reminder to please get your kids checked for vitamin D and B12 sufficiency. Most children that we have checked over the last few months has been severely low in both of these nutrients, and both are exquisitely involved in attention, focus, immunity, skin health and hormone balance. We have special pricing with both Quest Labs (in office) and Paclab across the hall that cuts the cost of vitamin D in half.
