Do You Hear What I Hear? - Sept. Talks on Tuesdays

DESCRIPTION:

Hearing loss can affect a child's ability to develop communication, language, and social skills. The earlier children with hearing loss start getting services, the more likely they are to reach their full potential. This webinar will provide an opportunity for early intervention providers, administrators, and families to learn more about Virginia's Early Hearing Detection and Intervention (EHDI) program. Ruth Frierson, Program Manager, will share key information about how Virginia is doing to meet the 1-3-6 benchmarks for early hearing detection and intervention.

This session will be presented in interview format. Ruth will be joined by a panel of experts who will be able to address your questions about hearing, family support, and collaborations with the Part C system statewide. The moderator will ask Ruth and the panel questions. We encourage participants to share their questions with the panel. If you have a question about hearing that you would like to have the panel address, please click here.

Ruth will also discuss changes that have been made to increase collaborations with Part C local systems.
