The effects of a visual impairment on infant development are unique and individual. During this webinar, we will discuss a variety of common visual impairments in infants currently, including Cortical Visual Impairment (CVI), the impact in each area of development and we will have the opportunity to share interventions which have been successful with our children.

Lisa Auwarter, M.S. Ed. is an Education Coordinator for the VA
Department for the Blind and Vision Impaired and has been in this position for the past nine years. Prior to this position, she has been a Teacher of the Visually Impaired and an Orientation and Mobility Specialist in the public school systems around Virginia since 1984. She has taught for George Mason University, as an INSITE trainer through Utah State University and produced a screening training for the state of Virginia ITCs.
