Hello!
I would like to invite you to the next CCS Community Committee meeting on Monday, January 28th at 7 PM. My name is Page Lee. I am Community Committee chair and a parent at CCS. This year, my main goal is to reorganize the Parent Teacher Organization in a way that reflects the vibrancy, talent and diversity of our community.
The following is an idea of what the various PTO committees might look like:
a. Beautification and Seasonal Decoration Committee (Front planters to start. Keep bulletin boards updated on main floor with seasonal and/or student work. Put up and take down other seasonal decorations. Mowing, etc. continues to be handled by landscaping company.)
b. Community/Hospitality Committee (Non-fundraising event coordination, room parent coordination, volunteer training.)
c. Fundraising Committee (Fall Festival, Spring fundraiser, Boxtops, discount card programs, other small fundraising events. Community Fund and grant writing activities will still be handled by the Board.)
-Need someone to do Boxtops. right away.
d. Educational Enrichment Committee (Develops and supports after school enrichment activities and classes.)
e. Administrative Support Committee (Assists school administration and other committees with admin work including Excel file development and maintenance, DonorSnap maintenance, website maintenance, Constant Contact email outreach and data entry tasks. This is a great committee if you are a self-starter, have admin/computer skills and like to work from home.)
I hope you will join me in this exciting and important project. CCS is a good school. With a strong parent organization, we could make it GREAT! Please RSVP if you plan to attend and give me an idea of your volunteer interests and skills. Everyone is welcome.
