Fire Safety Bulletin Board Contest

 
Ms. Trangsrud's third graders came in 5th place out of 48 schools of third graders!  She was invited to an assembly last Friday and accepted a $500 check for her classroom.  CCS was the only charter school to place in the contest. Congrats to Mrs. Trangsrud's class!

 

 

 

 

Fall Festival 

 

Come to our first Annual CCS Fall Festival!!! The CCS fall festival will take place November 3rd 9:00am - 1:00pm

*Book fair

*Silent Auction

*Raffle

 

 Rent a booth. Booths are now $20. Limited spaces remain.

Four spots left in Lego League 

Lego league is a great introduction to Robotics. Students learn to assemble and program Lego Mindstorm robots.

The Energized Guyz 

The National Theater for Children will present a play, "The Energized Guyz and the Conservation Caper" on Friday October 26 at 10am in the cafeteria. 

The play is sponsored by Duke Energy and is geared towards teaching energy conservation. As part of this effort, every family in our school is entitled to a free energy efficiency kit. The school with the most kits ordered will win $ 2,000.

  • Please sign students in after 8:30am.  Those not signed in may be marked absent. 
  • Please check your child's bag or your email for a midterm progress report sent from your child's teacher.
  • Cleaned, plastic bottle caps of all sizes needed for Ms. Lisa's art projects.

Check out our newest Community Partner, Music 4 Life! Music 4 Life is located in the Cherry neighborhood, right down the street from CCS. They offer private lessons for guitar, piano, percussion and many other instruments, have an awesome Kindermusik program and a jam band! Music 4 Life supports CCS with service donations and scholarship opportunities.
