Women Veterans Fair Is Tomorrow, October 27th

Will you be joining IDVA and the College of DuPage at the first-ever Illinois Women Veterans Fair?

Set to begin at noon this Saturday (October 27th), this child-friendly event promises to be an exciting, impactful program with a full slate of informational sessions and broad participation from federal, state, local, and non-profit entities serving women veterans.

It also intends to draw together the community of Illinois Women Veterans to educate them about available resources and to generate discussion and awareness on the issues they face, including Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), Military Sexual Trauma (MST), resiliency, and transitioning back into civilian life.

Find your way to the College of DuPage's Student Services Center at 425 Fawell Blvd, Glen Ellyn, IL 60137. For more information, please download the official event agenda.

Next MV2E Event In Rockford On Nov. 20th

"Mission: Veterans 2 Entrepreneurs" (MV2E) is making its next stop in Rockford on Tuesday, November 20th.

Many not-for-profit organizations and local government agencies that provide resources to small business owners will also be in attendance.

The event is hosted by the Illinois Department of Veterans' Affairs (IDVA) and Illinois Central Management Services (CMS), in partnership with the Rockford Chamber of Commerce and Governor State University's Entrepreneurial Boot Camp.

MV2E will take place from 9 a.m.- 4 p.m., on Tuesday, November 20, 2012 at the Navy Club of Rockford-Ship No. 1, 2324 Charles Street, Rockford, IL 61104.
