Tech Tip: Performing Dual-Priority switching functions with the 900MkII
Prior to the introduction of the ML-11T module, modules designed for the 900MkII could perform only Mute Send or Mute Receive (depending on the module model). Therefore, it was difficult to perform multi-priority functions without additional modules. The ML-11T can be set for Mute Send or Receive on either of the two available Mute buses on the 900MkII. When the signal to the mixer is input using a Mute Send module assigned to Mute bus 1, this can mute the source connected to an ML-11T via one mute bus (set to Mute receive) and the signal input to the ML-11T can mute other (Mute Receive) modules the same mute bus or another Mute bus. This allows more flexibility when setting up paging environments with the 900MkII.
