Dear friends, I keep getting hate mail from believers calling me a liar, and saying that I am deceiving people by stating that it was Jim and Penny who discovered the split rock.
Well, I do not like my research to be proved wrong and be called a lying deceiver, when I have always been telling the truth.
So I sent an email to Ron's widow Mary Nell Lee. Please see her email that I have just received, below. This will now set the records straight once and for all.

The email below is from Mary Nell Lee. Widow of Ron Wyatt. Sent to me on 3/July/2013 This email confirms born again believers, Jim and Penny, were the first ones to discover the split rock at Jebel El Laws.
Yes, Jim and Penny were the 1st to film and photograph the split rock and surrounding area. All Ron told them was that Rephidim was on the "other" side of the mountain. Ron had not seen it before, he just believed that's where it had to be, based on the Biblical account. Still, that bit of information was not enough... They explored a large region to find it. They did an amazing amount of work and were so generous in sharing it with Ron and I. FROM Mary Nell Lee.
Penny and Jim of Split Rock Research also confirm Ron's discovery of the REAL Mount Sinai, to be TRUE and GENUINE.
PLEASE LET THE TRUTH BE REVEALED AND THE RECORDS BE SET STRAIGHT.
