Wreath laid at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier, Arlington Cemetery by St. John School eighth grade students last week.
Dear Families,
On Sunday, we celebrate Baccalaureate at 10:30am. We will pray with and for our class of 2015 as they graduate. Sunday is also the feast day of the Solemnity of the Most Holy Trinity, the central mystery of our faith, the community of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit, the mystery of God in himself, the triune God. It is a very wonderful day on which to have Baccalaureate! The Trinity marks a divine relationship between God the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit, a relationship of love, and our communities are modeled on that relationship. School, parish and family together send these graduates on to the next legs of their journeys. Together, we will pray as they head out to build upon the foundation that was laid at St. John. May God bless and fill them with His Spirit.
These next two weeks will be pretty hectic. The gorgeous sunshine has added to the atmosphere of approaching summer fun. Be sure the check schedules for field day and field trips; be ready to chaperone these very excited children.
Beannacht,
Bernadette O'Leary, Principal
