  Gr. 1 Habitat Day

Dear Families,

St. John School feels like a beehive these days!  The place is buzzing!  The students are actively engaged in learning in and out of the classroom.  Our students have been at museums, and in the woods.  This week the 7th grade spent the day on a service immersion experience.  Today, the 2nd graders will have Mass with high school students at Bishop Blanchet.  Next week, the 8th graders head off to the other Washington - Washington, D.C., the 6th graders will attend Outdoor Education Week at Camp Hamilton, and the other 7th grade will spend a day on their service immersion trip.  On your behalf, I extend a huge thank you to the teachers who are so willing to take the time to plan and lead these valuable learning opportunities.  Thank you also to the parents who chaperone and drive.  Without your presence, we would be unable to have field trips!  Together, we live our mission:  building a Christ-centered community, committed to academic excellence and service to others!

We are grateful to those of you who completed the survey.  If you haven't I urge you to add your voice.  As we move forward and prepare for the next long-range plan, we need your feedback.  You are our partners in the education of your child and your input is so important.

Please see below the many announcements and important dates as we close out this academic year.

We wish all our travelers well!  We ask God's blessing on the students, teachers and chaperones and we also pray for fine weather for our campers!

Beannacht,

Bernadette O'Leary, Principal

Thank you to families of students in Kindergarten for the delicious Mexican meal enjoyed by faculty and staff yesterday.  All the fixin's for tacos, topped off with yummy desserts including piņata shaped cookies!

Mrs. Pat Tsagalakis would like to thank Parent Volunteer / Zumba Dance Instructor, Seņora Ida Henricksen for sharing her time and talents.  Once again, Ida brings incredible joy and enthusiasm to our 1st grade music classes. Thanks to 6th graders, Mich C., Sean M. and Gavin L. for running the sound for our program.  Great Job!!
