Principal's Letter
Mrs. Kelly, Grade 3 teacher, appreciated today - and EVERY day - by St. John students!

Dear Families,

You made us feel very special and appreciated with all the beautiful flowers today!  Thank you to the many parents who volunteer all their time and to those who volunteer whenever they can.  Thank you to those who volunteer behind the scenes and those who are "on stage front."  The investment of time and talent by each and every teacher, student, parent, staff member and parishioner builds our community, person by person!  My informal study of the family crests you created revealed a strong emphasis on symbols for togetherness, clasped hands, sharing, family, eagles, teamwork.  You also emphasized persistence!  We sound like the Seahawks!!! Thank you for all you do to benefit St. John School, making it a stronger, better, warmer, more faith-filled place for your children!  I look forward to meeting you at the cocktail underwriting party this weekend, and we will drink a toast to St. John!  And the Seahawks!

Tomorrow, I rest!  Bridget and Molly Olney will be the Principals for the Day!  I know the school will be in fine hands!  I am sure they have grand plans for the students and teachers.

Next week, we will host the State of the School presentation in Egan Hall.  Attendance at this event is mandatory for all families enrolling for the 2015/2016 school year. We will present three times:  Monday February 2; Tuesday February 3; and, Thursday February 5, at 7pm.  If you are new to  K-8, you must attend Thursday February 5.

Again, I am looking forward to seeing you this Saturday evening!  This event supports the auction, and you all know how important the auction is to our operating budget.  I will give you an update on that next week!

Happy Catholic Schools Week!  Here is a link to an article on Catholic Schools to which we can all relate.
