Year of Faith
I am the living bread that came down from heaven, says the Lord; whoever eats this bread will live forever.

Mrs. Grandorf
Dear Families,

Today, we celebrated Mrs. Grandorf's wonderful 34 year career at St. John School.   This morning, I sat in on her eighth grade class. It was their last day at the library with her and she wanted to make sure that they knew about the great treasures and adventures that await them each time they open a new book. She led them through authors' websites, using video clips to heighten their interest.  Her love for the children shone through the lesson.  This afternoon, the students said goodbye at an assembly in her honor.  Be sure to visit Facebook for more photos, and Like us to get update notification.

On Sunday, at the 10:30 Mass, we will raise our voices in prayer and song for the Class of 2013.   The students are counting down the days as they complete final exams and practice for the commencement activities. Events such as field trips, Field Day, Colonial Day, Bump-up Day, and award ceremonies are filling up the calendars. Make sure that you check your child's schedule and the Google calendar so that you are informed.

Beannacht,

Bernadette O'Leary

90th Anniversary Year
is Coming Up!

In the coming school year (2013-2014) we will be celebrating the St. John School 90th Anniversary all year long! We need everyone's help in reaching St. John School graduates to bring together memories and stories from the first 90 years of St. John School.

If you ARE a graduate of St. John School, KNOW a graduate of St. John School, are RELATED to a graduate of St. John School, or can GET IN TOUCH with a graduate, we need YOUR HELP!

You don't have to be a graduate to "like" our new Facebook page: www.facebook.com/stjohnschoolseattlealumni. By 'liking' us, your own Facebook page will come up as a fan of ours and you will be helping to spread the word!

St. John School graduates are encouraged to email us their special memories, along with their contact information, to stjohnmemories@gmail.com.

THANK YOU for your help. If you have any questions, please contact Michele Thornquist at mthornquist@stjohnsea.org  or Jen Bergman at the-bergmans@comcast.net
