Miss Lovejoy's K Class, Gaugin-inspired "quilt" collage
|
Dear Families,Amore! It is auction time! I am so thankful to the busy crew of volunteers, led by Michelle Sorrick, Lynnette Muenzberg and Karen Schuler, who are preparing our big bash this weekend. The auction is our most important fundraiser and foundational to the effectiveness of the Fair Share program. The more we all get involved, the more we have to offer: Improved facilities, technology, programs, and accessibility for many families. Speaking of facilities. Please take the time to acknowledge parents, Jennifer Twill, Amy Vanderhorst, Lisa Berhinger, and John Pasco for their guidance and assistance in refining the scope of this year's Fund-a-Need. Show Amore, come along this weekend, bid often and bid high, and of course, enjoy a great party!
Tomorrow, we are taking the entire Middle School to see the Bishop Blanchet High School musical, Children of Eden. Mrs. Hendrickson's second graders are actually performing in the play! We will have eight classes out on a field trip tomorrow! Let us all thank Mrs. Q. and the teachers for all the extra work they do to organize these educational and fun learning events for the students.
Blessings, Bernadette O'Leary |

Tomorrow and Saturday - That's Amore!
The Auction Team has been hard at work organizing and displaying your beautiful procurements! Thank you, St. John Community for your generous donations and efforts in procuring desirable items from local (and some not-so-local!) vendors.
Now is the time to come together, celebrate St. John School, and have fun! The Auction is St. John School's most important fundraiser of the year and we have done our best to make it a memorable event.

Are you interested in joining our next delegation to visit our Sister communities in Peru?
Over the last 12 years about 40 members of St. John have visited our Sister Parish in Ilave and the Orphanage and Sister School in Puno, Peru. During Easter Holidays in 2014, our next delegation will be visiting Peru. This has been a great experience for everyone who has made the trip. Children must be accompanied by parents. Amigos de Peru will be holding an information session about plans for our next delegation on May 13th at 7pm in the School Library. Please join us.
Stop and take a look at the Amigos de Peru display in the vestibule of the church. There are pictures from our last delegation, information about Peru and CDs from the girls at the orphanage.
