News for Young Adults at the Westbank Libraries 

Free SAT Practice Test 

There will be a free SAT Practice Test at Laura's Library on Saturday, February 1st at 10:30am given by Kaplan.   We suggest you register online beforehand because this event may fill up, but walk-ins are also welcome.  This test is best suited for 7th-11th graders. 

 

Learn CPR in 10 Minutes  

Tomorrow (January 29th), we'll be hosting a Take 10 CPR class taught by Westlake High School Health Occupations Students of America.  You'll learn compression-only CPR in, yes, 10 minutes!

 

This class can literally be a life-saver, & while it's hard to put a price tag on such an important skill, don't forget that teens who babysit or do other similar jobs have a competitive edge when they know how to do CPR.

 

Wednesday, January 29th, 6:30-8pm at Westbank 

 

Take 10 minutes & learn to save a life!  For ages 10 & up.  (This class will not fulfill the requirements for a CPR certification.)

FREE Tax Prep! 

Did you have a part-time or summer job in 2013?  Don't forget to file your taxes!  Fridays at Westbank February 14th through April 11th, 10am-3pm you can pop in with all of your paperwork to get free tax-prep.  People of all ages are welcome; visit our website for more information.

If your family is interested in sponsoring a chess piece for our outdoor chess garden at Laura's Library, act quickly!  The Friends of the Westbank Library will stop selling the pieces at the end of this week.  To sponsor a chess piece, come to either library to see which ones are left & to sponsor the one of your choosing.
