On Tuesday, December 10th at 6:30pm, Shana Burg, author of the 2013 Bluebonnet book Laugh with the Moon, will be visiting Westbank Library to talk about how she immersed herself in the culture of Malawi, Africa in order to write her book.  Kids can listen to Malawian music, take a virtual tour of an African hospital, and learn how Malawian children make toys from found objects.  This program is for elementary-aged children.

On Saturday, December 14th at 10:30am, the whole family is invited to come to Laura's Library for a holiday sing-along followed by gingerbread cookie decorating.  Holiday pajamas or attire is encouraged!

In 2014, the Westbank branch will be getting a bit of a refresh because it's been some time since it was renovated, & Westbankers have started using the library in different ways.
