Hear the Prayer of Jill Duffield of the Presbyterian Outlook, July 8, 2016

"I feel like a small child, cowering and afraid in my room because my parents are fighting. I no longer believe their reassurances that everything will be all right and they will never argue like that again and that I shouldn't worry because will always stay together. Your family, Lord God, is ripping itself apart. We are killing each other.

After a well deserved rest by all, the FPC Chamber Choir starts again this Wednesday, July 13,  Hope to see both returning and new members soon! Lots of plans. Replacements are really needed for filling in the chairs of so many persons who have been ill, moved on or passed on. This is the time to greatly increase your giving of your self in time and talents. Bless everyone!

Handbells Sold

The hand bells and hand chimes were sold to a local group, JuBellation Hand Bell Quartet. The Worship, Music and Spiritual Formation Committee asked Mrs. Eleanor Albon for her guidance. She educated the committee members as to the proper care of the bells even if they were not being used and identified the group interested in purchasing the items. A value of $18,000.00 placed on bells, cloths, gloves, music, tables and the hand chimes. The Worship, Music and Spiritual Formation Committee made a recommendation that we place a value of $500.00 chimes and $18,000.00 for the bells. Also, the funds from the sale be placed in a separate account in our budget to establish a fund for connecting the pipes to our organ in the future. In the event the money is needed for something other than this purpose, it must go to Session for approval. These recommendation were approved by Session and cash transaction took place Tuesday, June 26, 2016. The group has expressed the desire to attend a Sunday worship and play the bells for us but no date has been determined.
