"In the midst of winter, I found there was, within me, an invincible summer."

Albert Camus

  In a study entitled
"Urban Trees and Forests of the Chicago Region", by USDA, did you know that native Oak species comprise only 12% of the forest canopy in McHenry County?  Oaks provide the greatest carbon sink and compensatory value, but are the smallest in number
and declining at an alarming
and accelerating rate.

Please call Mary Tree with any questions about plants and availability.

They requested a box of acorns for the photo shoot that got planted and are now trees about the size of the ones from the same crop in our fields (below).

Examine each question in terms of what is ethically and esthetically right, as well as what is economically expedient.  A thing is right when it tends to preserve the integrity, stability, and beauty of the biotic community.  It is wrong when it tends otherwise.
