Dear friends and customers,                        oakleafraindrop

April showers are a welcome sign of a season we've all been (not so patiently) waiting for, the season of renewal, hope, growing and planting.

It reminds us how much we depend on trees and plants for our well-being--from the physical work they do to clean air and water for our consumption, to the beauty and peace they provide for our communities' and residents' mental and physical health.

April is the host of two holidays that remind us of our responsibility to and dependency on mother earth. Earth Day coming up on the 22nd and Arbor Day coming up on the 26th are days to celebrate by planting trees and increasing awareness of sustainable ways to do that. (see Morton Arboretum Sustainable Landscaping and Sustainable Cities Institute for more about how you can incorporate information about and benefits of trees into your discussions with clients and residents.

People who will not sustain trees
risk living in a world which cannot sustain people.
