By Connie Clark

July 31, 2014

Q.        When is the first rehearsal?

A.        Wednesday, August 6, at 7:00 p.m. in the church.

Q.        And after that?

A.        Weekly, same time and place.

Q.        How long will rehearsals be?

A.        90 minutes.

Q.        Who is in charge?

A.        Guy Lushin is the Choir Director.

Q.        Do I have to audition to be part of the choir?

A.        NO.

Q.        Do I have to know how to read music or have previous choral experience?

A.        NO, but if you do, please come!

Q.        Will we learn how to read music and about vocal technique?

A.        Yes.

Q.        Do I have to commit to the whole year if I join?

A.        No, you can commit a month at a time. We will be singing an anthem at the Offertory once a month at first. Guy asks that you commit to rehearsals in the month preceding the anthem performance.

Q.        Will I have fun?

A.        Guy says, "I hope so!"

Q.        Can I make a suggestion about music to sing?

A.        Yes. Guy will determine the feasibility of singing it.

Q.        Will we be touring?

A.        Maybe! Think RoseWood Village....but not for awhile.

Q.        Do I have to sing a solo?

A.        No, but if you want to, let Guy know.

Q.        Will I need to work on music outside of rehearsal?

A.        If possible, yes, please.

Q.        Will we be wearing choir robes?

A.        Not in the beginning. We'll see if that's a good idea down the road.

Q.        Who deserves thanks for making this happen?

A.        Thank your Vestry, in particular, Mark Prichard.

Y'all come!
