  Promise for Haiti is a 501(c)3 philanthropic organization dedicated to Health Care, Education, Clean Water, Agriculture and Economic Development.

 

"Promise for Haiti exists to initiate and nurture the spiritual growth of the people of the Pignon area and to practically demonstrate the love of Jesus Christ to them by providing the region with primary and acute health care, essential sanitation facilities, agricultural training and  functional literacy, basic educational opportunity, and economic growth and development."  

 

           Words of Reflection  

This reflection about Promise For Haiti's mission work was shared by a board member.
An intuitive comparison of the words spoken by Jesus to the blessings in Pignon makes one think of the good works performed.

Matthew 11:5. The blind receive sight, the lame walk, those who have leprosy are cleansed, the deaf hear, the dead are raised, and the good news is proclaimed to the poor. 
 
"I am thinking of:

 The Eye clinic-1236 Patients seen, 774 Eye glasses dispensed, 74 Eye surgeries performed.
The Jaipur Limb Clinic - 83 limbs to 75 patients
The Vaginal Fistula surgeries-15 modern day "lepers" treated and Haitian surgeons trained to carry on this work. 
 
Five Loaves and the good news it proclaims to the poor. "

At the Promise For Haiti June Board meeting, Adele Romelus presented an outstanding Power Point Presentation for Comite  Bienfaisance de Pignon.

 Below is a display of a small portion of the presentation about the hospital in Pignon.
As many stories were shared of the successes in Pignon, many discussions arose of the needs to provide quality health care to all. Donations received mean so much to so many people who live here. Thank you for your support !
