Diamond Knot Craft Brewing Donates More than
$4,300 in its Coats for Kids Drive
Diamond Knot Craft Brewing President Bob Maphet challenged Diamond Knot customers to donate generously to the Domestic Violence Services of Snohomish County coat and cash drive and our customers responded.
Customer donations totaling more than $2,100 were matched by Diamond Knot Craft Brewing, which wrapped up its 3rd annual "Coats for Kids" donation program by handing over $4,300, in addition to seven large bags of clothing and household items.
"As a local business, it is important for us to support our community. We challenged our customers to help us continue that support and beat last year's donation," said Bob Maphet, President. "They did it, and then some!"

The Alehouse is Expanding
Diamond Knot Craft Brewing management staff announced last week that while its flagship Brewery & Alehouse undergoes major expansion on the Mukilteo waterfront, restaurant operations will be suspended for about two months beginning Jan. 7. It is expected to be re-open near the end of February.
The alehouse project, which includes expanding the kitchen, adding family-friendly dining on the south side of the building, as well as coffee and ice cream service, comes in response to an overwhelming demand to offer more opportunities at this popular historic location.
During this time, Diamond Knot's other Mukilteo locations will increase staff and hours. The Production Brewery & Taproom, located at 4602 Chennault Beach Rd., will open daily from 3 p.m., while the Pizza House at 403 Lincoln Ave. will extend its hours as needed.

Copper-colored with a malty character up front. Intensely bitter with hints of grapefruit and cedar imparted by heavy-handed additions of Galena and Columbus hops. ABV: 6.2%

Slane's Irish Red Ale

The start of a new calendar often sparks a desire to change things up - be it tastes, activities, attitudes or all of the above. With this in mind, starting mid-January 2013, Diamond Knot Craft Brewing will release its spring seasonal beer, Slane's Irish-Style Red Ale. It will be available on draft and in 22-oz. bottles at retailers throughout the Pacific Northwest and nationally through Total Wine & More.
"Slane's Irish-Style Red blends the best of Irish tradition with the boldness of West Coast style. The challenge was designing a beer that balances the complex malty sweetness, while still letting the Pacific Northwest hops shine through. We think we've come up with something that our customers really look forward to year after year," said Brewmaster Pat Ringe.
Slane's Irish-Style Red Ale is deep red in color with a sweet, caramel aroma, complex malt flavors and a very subtle smokiness and crisp, hoppy finish.
