Social Justice Newsletter
June 25, 2015

The next edition of the newsletter will be sent out on September 10.  The "Upcoming Events" has been made as complete as possible.

Today's newsletter focuses on Pope Francis's environmental encyclical, Laudato Si'.  It is a call for a broad cultural revolution to protect the home that all human beings and all living things on earth share.  Attention must be given not only to climate change but also to protecting the habitats of our food sources in our oceans, rivers and streams from pollution and over-fishing.  Likewise, our soil and water need to be conserved.

The Pope is calling upon us to be especially concerned about the well-being of the poor.
