Social Justice Newsletter
February 26, 2015

Today's newsletter has an article about the PBS series, EARTH: A New Wild, which employs fantastic motion picture photography to underscore the possibilities for a more mutually beneficial relationship between human beings and "wild" animals.

Another article provides access to the questions in the Synod on Marriage and the Family Survey that we were asked to answer by February 23.  These questions are worth reading and discussing for our individual benefit and, eventually, will aid decision-making in the parish also.

CCOP and the Synod on Marriage and the Family

When we were growing up our family life greatly shaped our attitudes toward society and our social behavior. Now we as adults, many of us with families of our own, have shaped our children's attitudes, beliefs and commitments to social justice and living the Gospel.

The questions in the Synod on Marriage and the Family Survey that we were asked to answer by February 23 are still available for us to discuss with our friends and family members. They could also be discussed within CCOP's Small Christian Communities.

We could serve the cause of social justice by discussing these questions among ourselves and assessing how we could become more effective in living out our faith.
