Subsidiarity: Strengthening Communities through Cooperation

Our own happiness depends on our developing cooperative relationships with many different people.  To win cooperation we need to learn to depend on ourselves first of all, then keep adding to our skills and knowledge and developing ever wider competence. If we are accustomed to helping others, we will find it easier to get help from others when we need it. Being mindful that we all need help from time to time we can make helping people in need become part of our way of life.  Cooperation and mutual concern enables a society to function well and the members of the society to live well.
