Further Information on the

Live Online Presentation on March 11

The same speaker will give essentially the same presentation at 9:00 A.M. and at 8:00 P.M. There will be a question and answer period each time after the presentation.

There is lots of information about the March 11 event, the ideas behind it, and how it will work on the http://www.idealist.org/March11 website. There are lots of buttons to click for more information.

The capabilities of the Idealist organization are apparent from their main website, http://www.idealist.org/. They have a live stream of new individual and organization members and a blog. Most importantly, they have a searchable database of their members. For example, if you enter  the three letters "san" in the Location box, a list of locations beginning with those letters appears. The top one is San Francisco Bay Area, CA, US. If you move your cursor to any location in the list and click on it that location moves to the box. If you enter "affordable housing" in the Keywords box and then use the drop-down menu for the box labeled "Type" to select "people" and click on the green button labeled "Search" you will get a list of about 12 people who have involvement with affordable housing. If you select "organizations" rather than "people" for the Type box, clicking on Search produces about 86 names and brief descriptions. The names are in blue letters. If you a logged in member of Idealist, clicking on one of the names yields more information about that organization.

The March 11 event promises opportunities to connect with persons or organizations having interests in or abilities needed in work on whatever social justice issue that is of concern to you. Registering is free. Give it a try!
