Talitha Alexander, Principal
My experience at Harmony Public Schools started in 2004 in Austin, as a teacher at Harmony Science Academy. I taught Physical Education and Health to sixth through twelfth graders. There are a lot of things I love about my job, but if I had to pick one thing, it would be making a difference in my student's lives. My hope is that I have established a safe, caring, and fun learning environment for our students, staff and parents.
Angelina Tran, Alumna Harmony Science Academy Houston, Class of 2006 When asked by Harmony Staff how to best succeed in college, Angelina Tran stated that maintaning a healthy study-life balance is the best recipe for success. Classes, of course, are a top priority but don't burn yourself out by stressing out about grades.
Tran attended Rice University for her Bachelor of Science and University of Incarnate Word for her Doctorate; She is currently a staff optometrist at the Veterans Affairs Hospital in Houston.

Computer Science is an important "21st Century" skill for Harmony students to learn for their future careers. So, Mr. Torbey and Ms. Dalgic in Austin have been teaching HTML, CSS, Scratch, Game Design, and Javascript to students. Mr. Torbey is offering a club to fifth graders and students in ninth through twelfth grade can take Ms. Dalgic's elective class. This offering was made available to students because of Harmony's partnership with community supporters such as the KLE Foundation.
Reigne, one of Ms. Dalgic's students says, "For me this course is always quite fun. We get to learn many different things about coding that have magnificant outcomes. This course meets the needs of students who are looking for a challenge, while at the same time having fun and learning."
