Mannkal's e-Focus

Greetings!,

During February, the Mannkal team visited Perth university campuses in search of bright, young talented individuals to take part in Mannkal's upcoming travel and conference scholarship programmes.

UWA Mannkal Stall

Attendance at the orientation days proved to be an overwhelming success with many students showing an interest in Mannkal's opportunities being created for Western Australian university students.

Mannkal was pleased to send a number of students from Curtin and UWA to attend a luncheon hosting Daniel Hannan MEP, who discussed the topic, Protecting Our Liberty to Secure Our Prosperity. Scroll down to read Ahmed Suliman's experience of the luncheon.

In late February, the Freedom & Prosperity Club welcomed Ken Phillips, Executive Director of Independent Contractors Australia. Ken advises a large range of Australian companies and families on Industrial relations and his support for small business and smaller government is sometimes controversial but always well argued.  Ken discussed his pursuit of free enterprise and supporting the rights of individuals against corporate and union interests. To watch Ken Phillips speech, please scroll down.

Mannkal has welcomed in the New Year by establishing a Mannkal Advisory Council and a Mannkal Ambassador Circle, with an aim to expand the Mannkal Student Scholarship Program and the support services that this requires. We look forward to working closely with them over the next months and years to come.

Look Who's Talking

Gold Standard vs Booms & Busts?

Was the debt-deflation of the 1930's caused by an inflexible gold standard? George Selgin of the University of Georgia and the Cato Institute says this is an oversimplification of the 1930's events. To find out why, please click here.

    An Evening with Ken Phillips
