Mannkal's e-Focus
Greetings!,
This month we tackle the tough question of why Australia's productivity and competitiveness is slipping. This is part one of a three-part series; parts two and three will be presented in the next two issues of e-Focus.
We also see one of our Mannkal Scholars, Adam Vilaca, travel to Canada as part of a six week internship with the Frontier Centre for Public Policy. To read more about his experiences, stay tuned to our Student Blog section on the mannkal website.
An exciting opportunity has now opened for UWA students to intern with leading Hong Kong free market think-tank, the Lion Rock Institute. This experience is for six weeks and the selected student will be given the opportunity to visit the prestigious Asia Society as part of the program. For more information about the internship and application process, please see below.

Who is John Galt? Ask Yoga Retailer Lululemon
After a Mannkal staff member struck up conversation about libertarianism during a trip to global yoga retail brand Lululemon, little did they realise their former CEO and founder Chip Wilson used Ayn Rand's Atlas Shrugged as the inspiration behind a lot of the brands strategy and ideology. Has this been a step forward to bringing libertarian thought to the masses, or should ideology and commerce be deliberately left separate? Click on the link to find out what they had to say.
