Mannkal's Focus
Greetings!,
In August, Mannkal celebrated the 100th Anniversary of the birth of Nobel Laureate Milton Friedman. Best described by The Economist as 'the most influential economist of the second half of the 20th Century... possibly all of it', Friedman's work as an academic, author and economic adviser is still widely celebrated and implemented today.
Mannkal, in conjunction with the UWA Business School, held a special screening and forum discussion on Milton Friedman's work throughout his life. To see videos from this event, please click here.
We would also like to take this opportunity to invite you to a fantastic conference being held in Perth this October. Mannkal and Murdoch School of Law will be holding a two-day conference from October 12-13 on issues surrounding censorship and freedom of speech in contemporary Australia. Please see below for more information.
Feel free to forward this email or any of this material onto your own contacts. To subscribe to this publication, please click here (for new subscribers only).
My regular Mannerisms this month is focused on my own personal reflection of Friedman and the impact he has had on modern economics.
