Mannkal's Focus

Greetings!,

July was an extremely busy month for Mannkal!

We hosted visiting Professor Lawrence H. White, from George Mason University (USA). While in Perth, Professor White spoke to the Freedom and Prosperity Club, the Presbyterian Ladies' College Year 12 Economics classes and attended a luncheon hosted for him by the UWA Business School.

The Freedom to Choose 2012 conference was held at the University of Notre Dame Fremantle Campus on July 27. Freedom to Choose is an annual one-day economics conference devoted to considering the degree to which policy makers should pursue free-market policies.

Sarah Pendal, Mannkal's Administrative Assistant will depart for the United States in mid-August. Sarah was awarded a scholarship to travel to the United States and complete a semester of study at St. Mary's College in Indiana. We wish Sarah well in her studies abroad!

We are pleased to announce that Hannah Berdal, Mannkal's 2012 Lion Rock Intern, will take Sarah's place as Mannkal's new Marketing and Publications Coordinator. We welcome Hannah to the Mannkal team!
