Greetings!,
Mannkal has had a very busy first half of 2011, with many students selected to attend conferences in the US, Melbourne, Sydney and Hobart! We have many more events and opportunities planned for the second half of the year so please see below for those you may be interested in.
The Liberty and Society Conference, held in Sydney by the Centre for Independent Studies, is the best introduction to the free-market in Australia! While Mannkal is a sponsor we are not involved with the selection process or organisation of the event. We strongly recommend all students apply. Click here for more info.

Mannkal ECOMS Student Dinner
Mannkal and ECOMS are holding their second student dinner for 2011 at the Claremont Hotel on 7th September. The guest speaker will be Chris Berg from the Institute of Public Affairs in Melbourne.
National censorship and classification, the News of the World scandal and freedom of the media will be discussed and debated in a fun atmosphere. Once again, this event will be free for current university students. Register here by 5th September. There are limited places so get in quick!

Lion Rock Institute - Hong Kong
The Lion Rock Institute is a free market think tank based in Hong Kong and Mannkal wishes to sponsor an Australian intern for December 2011 to February 2012.
Fronter Centre for Public Policy - Canada
The Frontier Centre for Public Policy is an independent, Western Canada-based public policy think tank with offices in Winnipeg, Regina and Calgary, and Australia wishes to sponsor an Australian intern for January and February 2012.
These internships, in partnership with the Mannkal Foundation, will include flights, accommodation and a small stipend. Applicants should have an interest in free market principles, as well as a high level of communication skills. Click here for more details on both of these internships.
To apply for either of these internships please send your resume and 300 words outlining why you want to be selected to emma@mannkal.org by 5pm, 16th September 2011. If you wish to be considered for both, please only write one 300 word submission and specify that you are applying for both.

Mises Seminar
The Mises Seminar is a one day conference that aims to educate the public in Austrian-school economics and libertarian theory in the tradition of Ludwig von Mises, Murray Rothbard, F.A Hayek and Hans-Hermann Hoppe. Mannkal will sponsor two students from each W.A university to attend this conference. For conference details and how to apply please click here.
