A Boardroom Lunch Presented by Mannkal Economic Education Foundation, with Special Guest Presenter, Dr David Hart

Greetings!

We would be delighted if you could join us at a private, boardroom lunch on July 11th when Dr. David Hart, Director of the US-based Liberty Fund, will discuss how to support projects which promote liberty.  Mannkal is fortunate to have such a high calibre expert to share his experiences with those who are interested in expanding liberty.

Date: July 11th, 2011
Time: 12:00 for a 12:30 start - 2:00
Location: Mannkal Boardroom, 3/31 Hood Street Subiaco
RSVP: By July 7th, to Nicki Williams -

As you are aware, defending liberty is a never ending task. For Western Australians, such as yourself, fortunate enough to enjoy the fruits of commercial success, freedom and liberty is a necessary precursor to the accumulation of wealth.  There are a range of vehicles available to ensure that future Western Australians continue to enjoy these freedoms into the future. Mannkal is but one such organisation that undertakes this work. However there are a range of other options to support liberty.

As someone who has worked across think-tanks and academia in the US and Australia, Dr Hart is uniquely placed to share his experiences and give insight for his experience at 'the coal face' of the battle of ideas. This lunch has been set up for you to be able to interact with Dr Hart in a private and informal setting.

Dr. Hart began teaching in the Department of History at the University of Adelaide, South Australia in 1986, received the university teaching prize in 1992, and was tenured in 1994. Subjects taught and areas of graduate research supervised include modern European history, nineteenth-century classical liberal thought, the Enlightenment, war and culture, film and history, history and the Internet - all of which went online from 1996 onwards. His philosophy of teaching can be summed up in two basic principles - the Maoist principle of 'let a thousand flowers bloom' and the idea that teaching is fundamentally an intellectually subversive process.

I hope that you can join myself and other like-minded individuals at this lunch next Monday.

Regards,

Ron Manners
