Ron,
the lack of BCC gives us the opportunity to reply all, and point at Christophers savage take-down of everything Abrahams said. (There are no less than 466 points.) See this post:
The real question is -- what poor judgement it shows that someone would do a large email round with what was essentially an unchecked ad hominem account based on things that are already shredded? If he had a modicum of manners or a critical intellect he could have done a 10 second google check first.

Dear colleagues,
The following one-sided view from 'a man of science' who has not mastered the art of sending emails in BCC form (to hide the recipients email addresses), could raise an obvious question.
Does the person sending this email benefit financially from the Climate Alarmist Cult?
Any volunteers to respond to this email with a 'counter view' (perhaps not a defense) by giving equal time to the proposal that even Lord Monckton may be 'out' by even a factor of 10%, then how does one award points to the countervailing arguments, being rammed down out throats by the very expensive, taxpayer funded, campaign where 'paid actors' such as Cate Blanchett & Michael Caton, along with Ross Garnaut (another paid actor) are promoting messages that may be judged as several thousand percent 'off the mark'.
I don't know how one measures the degree of 'offness' that relates to their use of the photograph of London's Battersea Power Station (closed in 1983) because they were unable to find an Australian power station with belching chimneys.
Just a thought, but I hope you are equally surprised to see the below email circulated widely.
Regards to all and I look forward to giving the vote of thanks to Christopher on Thursday evening (June 30th, 2011) at Notre Dame University, Fremantle.

Dear Colleagues:
As you make know, Lord Monckton, well known climate change sceptic, is coming to Perth to speak at the AMEC mining conference this week. Partly funded by some wealthy Australian individuals, he will also be touring Australia for the next few days, delivering his message.
It is important for serious professionals, and indeed the general public, to know who this guy is. He is a hereditary peer in the UK, with no science background, and no economics background whatsoever (degree in classics). He is a journalist and sometime politician. He is a great speaker, but unfortunately, routinely distorts and fabricates facts, and misquotes scientists and their work (this has been well established).
You may want to have a look at the inks below, which contain comprehensive and often hilarious debunkings of the complete misinformation that Monckton spreads. Pass it on. This is too important an issue to let Monckton's rubbish be taken as credible.
For a summary of his last Australian tour, and the current plans for his series of lectures in July, go to:
http://www.abc.net.au/unleashed/1816194.html
For a brief and hilarious primer on Monckton, go to Youtube, and search for Guardian Journalist Peter Hadfield. Hadfield has done a series of 5 short videos in which he checks the "facts" that Monckton gives in his speeches - these are worth watching just for the humour value.
For a far longer, more comprehensive analysis, in which a Professor of Thermodynamics in the USA checks each source and reference Moncton uses, one by one, and reveals each to be an utter fabrication, go to:
http://www.stthomas.edu/engineering/jpabraham/
Hard to understand how people can be so credulous that they take someone like this seriously...
Thanks
