Firefighters
Can Your Taste Buds Handle Firefighter Salsa?

Firefighters will descend on the El Coyote Cafe Sunday, Nov. 11, to see which of them can claim they have the best salsa. During the first ever Firefighter Salsa Competition, you can test salsas from stations all over the city. Come on down from 11am-4pm and enjoy street tacos, celebrity judges, a dunk tank, a no host margarita bar and, of course, all kinds of firefighter salsa. Tickets are $30 (or $15 for kids 12 and under). The hot and spicy competition benefits the Widows, Orphans & Disabled Firemen's Fund. Buy tickets online now.

Give More Than Thanks This November

As you make plans to share Thanksgiving with your family and friends, consider the heroes who help strangers every day. The Widows, Orphans & Disabled Firemen's Fund helps firefighters and their families in need and every donation makes this kind of assistance possible. In addition to financial help, the charity also provides emotional support. Read how much it means to our firefighter families. Do something good, donate online now. And encourage others to help a hero.
