 The Holiday Season is a busy time for all - scam artists included! Consumers can be vulnerable around the holiday season since they are busy with shopping and last minute holiday preparations. Scam artists look to take advantage of consumers at their busiest time. Your BBB wants you to be aware of some of the most common scams this Holiday Season.

This holiday shopping season, be on the lookout for a new scam technique. As shoppers become wary of paying by wire transfer and pre-paid debit card, scammers are trying something new. They are requesting victims purchase and pay with gift cards.

Everyone loves a surprise present... except when it's a scam. Be on the lookout for scammers who are taking advantage of the holiday season. This con seems like you are receiving a package, but it's really a way to steal your credit or debit card information.

What's New? BBB Scam Tracker   
 
   
  Better Business Bureau has launched BBB Scam Tracker to provide consumers across North America with a place to report scams and fraud, and to warn others of malicious or suspicious activities. All 112 BBBs operating in Canada and the United States are now collecting information from consumers and processing data, which is shared with law enforcement agencies for use in identifying and prosecuting scammers.
