BBB Alert: IRS Verification Letters

The Internal Revenue Service (IRS) announced that some taxpayers may receive a Letter 5071C in the mail after filing their yearly taxes. These letters will be mailed through the US Postal Service to the address on the taxpayers return. The IRS is flagging any suspicious tax returns that have indications of being identity theft but contain real information.
