 For the Past 100 Years the BBB has been helping consumers and businesses alike in many different areas. This past year as the BBB celebrated its Centennial Year, we broke records in consumer services across the United States. Read the full article below to see how these records were set!  

 

Tax Season is near and of course this means scam artists are on the rise looking for new & inventive ways to steal information. Our article regarding Tax Scams will help you become informed on how to keep you information safe this year.  

 

Consumers are not the only victims when it comes to scams. Lots of small businesses get scammed each year. Read our article regarding Small Business Scams and learn how to protect your company from scam artists. 

 

"Robocalls" are the newest aggravation to consumers via telephone. The BBB has been receiving calls from local consumers saying they are getting many calls a day, sometimes as many as 5 or 6, from so called telemarketers but the calls are prerecorded. Even consumers that have their telephone numbers registered on the Do Not Call List are getting these calls. In Its 100th Year, Better Business Bureau Breaks All Records for Consumer Services

Better Business Bureau celebrated its Centennial year by ringing the closing bell of the New York Stock Exchange, laying a wreath at the Tomb of the Unknowns in Arlington Cemetery, and helping a record-breaking number of consumers across the United States and Canada. The organization set new records in virtually all categories of service:

Consumers aren't the only victims of fraud. Every year, thousands of small businesses are targets of fraudulent or deceptive sales practices. Protect your business from scams by learning what to look out for.

Scams and identity thefts are particularly prevalent risks during tax time. Better Business Bureau warns that frauds utilize stolen personal data to manipulate large tax refunds from the Internal Revenue Service.
