Named Room Opportunity - Unique way to support the work of the Child Advocacy Center
by Roberta Humphries, Executive Director
Presenting the named room plaque to Mr. Tommy Wooten is Garry Winebarger, CAC Board Member

The Child Advocacy Center offers naming opportunities to those who wish to honor a family member, friend, business or corporation with an extraordinary and special gift. Such named gifts provide a meaningful way to honor a business or individual while benefitting the significant work of the Child Advocacy Center. A plaque will identify the name of the honoree, providing enduring recognition. Currently $50,000 has been raised and seven rooms have been chosen and named in honor or memory of an individual. Entry Lobby - in memory of Thomas R. McLean, Executive Director's Office - in memory of Ryan P. Kishbaugh, Small Conference Room - in honor of Tommy and Elizabeth Wooten, Victim Family Advocates' Office - dedicated by the Fayetteville Observer,

Presenting the plaque to Mr. Charles Broadwell are Lucy Jones and Tim Edwards, CAC Board Members

Family Counseling Room - in honor of Debbie and Robin Jenkins, Multidisciplinary Team Observation Room - in honor of Dr. Wes and Lucy Jones and the Large Family Waiting Room - to be named. Naming opportunities range from $5,000 to $20,000 depending on the room chosen. Named gifts may be paid in full immediately or pledged over a three-year period. Naming opportunities are limited and will be honored on a first-come, first-served basis.

Please contact Roberta Humphries at cacdirector@childadvocacycenter.com or 910-486-9700 if you are interested in this form of lasting tribute to an individual or business.

Child Advocacy Center Achieves Re-Accreditation

The Child Advocacy Center has been awarded re-accreditation by National Children's Alliance (NCA) following an extensive application and on-site review process. Accredited agencies must undergo a re-accreditation process every five years to ensure that best practices are continually being applied. The CAC received initial accreditation in 2003 and was re-accredited in 2008. The CAC was recommended for continued accredited membership with no recommendations for improvement. The site reviewers mentioned the following strengths of the organization and our multidisciplinary team: "The team's case review had very good discussion about the cases and included detail into investigative, treatment, and family needs.  This team seems truly concerned about the clients and families they serve. This is a team that works very well together.  There is good respect among members and an appreciation for each other's roles on the team. The staff and Director work very hard, and are appreciated by the team.  They are a great asset to the community." Being recognized by a National Organization validates the hard work and commitment our staff and multidisciplinary team has for the children of our community.
